Where Confusion Becomes Clarity
LitWeaving is a ‘one-stop shop’ for students who need exam-board specific resources and guidance. An assessment-objectives driven approach which combines examiner expertise, extensive subject knowledge-and a true love of literature.
As important, this is a safe place you can nurture your essay writing skills – this is where your marks will really start improving.
WHY WAS LITWEAVING CREATED?
A-Level English Literature resources and interventions tend to be scattered across modes and mediums: a tutor to help with essay writing, a study guide for context, a website for critics. LitWeaving has gathered it all together in one place, and gives you only what you need to know as per the requirements of your individual exam board.
And if you’ve had the misfortune to have had minimal teaching for essay writing , at LitWeaving we hold your hand and guide you, from start to finish, through the whole essay writing process – every exam question essay.

THE LITWEAVING WAY
HOW LITWEAVING BEGAN
Some of you might know Michelle from TikTok. She is the leading social media voice on A-Level English Literature, valued and respected by students and teachers alike for her ability to break down what is required of students in essays whilst giving that all-important examiner’s perspective – all the while never losing sight of her true love and respect for the literature.
Michelle realised just how confusing it can be for students to know what advice is applicable to them given the enormous variation that can occur with this A-Level because of differing exam boards and set texts.
Students are gasping for clarity and advice that is actionable and specific rather than generic and unhelpful, and LitWeaving is borne of Michelle’s desire to provide that clarity.
“Students are gasping for clarity, not more noise.”

MEET MICHELLE
Michelle wrote all the content for this website-no AI was harmed in the production of this website (well, not when it came to the content anyway). She became a ‘reader’ as a little six year old girl and never looked back or beyond-literature, teaching and examining scratched all those intellectual, spiritual and emotional itches.
She has a literature BA (Hons.) degree, is a qualified teacher and is a former English Head of Department. She has also had an examiner career spanning a decade wherein she has marked for both international and home boards.
Due to having worked in both schools and in the context as a private tutor and examiner, she has gained a rare breadth of knowledge and expertise regarding the five main exam boards, and international boards, for A-Level English Literature. Michelle has two little girls who love reading almost as much as she does!
